This year there will be 2 methods of entry, choose either a £20.00 or £40.00 entry fee.
£20.00 entry to accept the challenge and agree to raise at least £100.00 in sponsorship or extra donations. The £20.00 fee is paid through the on-line entry system.

The two riders who raise the most money through sponsorship will receive 2 free tickets for the top table at the Dave Rayner Annual Fund Raising Dinner to be held on Saturday 13th November 2010 at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate.
DECLARATION
I agree to participate in this event entirely at my own risk and
understand that no liability shall attach to the organisers, the
Dave Rayner Fund Committee or any officials, marshals and
helpers of this event for any injury, loss or damage.
I will comply with the following:-
ROAD SAFETY The major risk is that
of accidents to riders and other road users, caused by riding or
driving without due care and attention, a variety of road
conditions, junctions and lack of awareness of the event by
other road users. It is imperative that riders obey the 'Highway
Code' at all times, and follow instructions given by marshals.
The course is very technical and requires both a high level of
fitness and skill ability.
-Riders must wear a British Standard approved cycle helmet and
take the necessary clothing to suit the conditions.
-Riders must ride within their ability and must pay close
attention to road conditions.
-Riders will encounter a wide range of hazards on the course
from freely roaming animal stock, a variety of tarmac
conditions, loose surfaces from gravel to stones and mud, blind
corners, slow farm vehicles etc.
Please ensure that your bike is also fit for purpose including
tyres, brakes, steering system etc.
DANGER SPOTS
The route takes you through the Yorkshire Dales. There are some
amazing climbs, but with potentially dangerous descents.
PLEASE TAKE CARE ON ALL DESCENTS.
Specifically take care when crossing the Ford, at distance 57km
/ 35 miles.
It is very slippery and is recommended to ride through at
walking pace keeping the cycle straight. If in doubt use the
foot bridge.

After the start of the 'etape' Brian Robinson - President of the 'Dave Rayner Fund' will lead a more leisurely ride.
(Brian was the first english rider to win a stage of
the Tour de France
)

'I would like to invite cyclists who may not feel up to the long ride to join me for a social ride after the main event has left.
This will be ideal for novices , or like me, those who have left their hard riding days behind and now look forward to a pleasant ride in good company.

President's ride, out of Threshfield, klnsey,kettlewell, Buckden, kettlewell, back road to Grassington, Hebden,Appletreewick,Burnsall,Bolton Abbey,Burnsall, linton , Threshfield
about 60 kms so about 3 hrs ride, probably have a tea stop, plenty of options if
people don't feel up to it to shorten the ride
