Thank you for entering the 4th
running of the Etape du Dales, all proceeds go to the www.daveraynerfund.com
We look forward to meeting up with you on the day.
The
Route is a real challenge,
the scenery is ‘out of this world’. However there are dangerous
descents, and difficult climbs.
The route is well signposted, it is your responsibility to take care. Ambulances will be located at the bottom of dangerous
descents
together with a full communications facility provided by Raynet.
A recent inspection of the course highlighted 'road works' just after the right turn at the bottom of the Buttertubs, and at Newby Head, just as you turn right to Ribblehead. (Please respect the traffic lights at these points)
Control Points are located at Hawes (23 miles), Tan Hill (47m), Moorcock (69m), and Stainforth (91m)
Tan Hill is the main feeding station, the highest pub in
England
.
There is also a 'cafe facility'.
Drinks, sandwiches, bananas and energy bars at all control points.
